About Us
The Turtle Island Foundation was founded in 2011 and is an aboriginal non-profit located on the Noatkemewanning First Nation in the Treaty #3 region of NW Ontario, CANADA and is led by is Founder, Keegan Leahy.
Mr. Leahy is an Anishinaabe First Nations member from the Naotkemewanning First Nation. He has an extensive and diverse background in global project finance & development. The majority of his experience in the StartUp, Emerging Markets and First Nations sectors.
What we do
This charitable undertaking is designed to assist the numerous under-serviced tribal communities throughout the US & Canada, or as the original habitants refer to it as "Turtle Island." The scope is considerable, but with the right support we will change the lives of many. Our target areas of work will include: Tribal and Treaty Rights, Education & Capacity Building, Economic Development, Arts, Language, Health and Legal Aid.
